Set your alarms and lace up your running shoes for an incredible morning of pure endurance, beach vibes, and community fitness at the Wavz Sand N Surf Challenge: 5K Beach Trot 2026. Taking place on the legendary, unbroken shores of Negril, this event challenges runners and walkers alike to take on a full 5-kilometer course entirely on the sand.

The trot begins alongside the open-water swim events at 7:00 AM sharp on Sunday, August 2nd. Running on sand adds a fantastic, low-impact resistance challenge that tests your stabilizers and builds strength, making it an exceptional change of pace for road runners, track athletes, and fitness groups looking to kick off August with a bang.

• Registration Fee: $2,000 JMD Entry
• Course Route: 5K multi-lap or out-and-back course completely on the white sands of Wavz Beach, Negril.

• Race Start: 7:00 AM
